The EBC 1212-7AL is a compact, aesthetic GMDSS emergency battery charger for 12 VDC systems. Features & Functions
- Recharges a completely discharged 12V-70Ah emergency accumulator (battery) with approximately 60 Ah in 10 hours, initially providing an average of 7A current. Charging then continues with gradually decreasing current until full charge is achieved
- After full charging, it maintains the emergency accumulator fully charged
- It features a visual indicator when operating
- It has an instrument (meter) indicating the voltage as well as an instrument (meter) indicating the charging current of the emergency accumulator
- It has clear visual LED indicators for the status of both the main accumulator of the vessel's electrical system and the emergency accumulator
- It has an audible alarm that operates in conjunction with the LED alarm indicators, but if necessary, the audible alarm can be cancelled by pressing the special button
- All alarms stop automatically when the causes that triggered them are eliminated and reactivate if a real alarm cause arises again
- It features automatic circuit breakers that reactivate with a simple movement of their lever. There is no need for spare fuses, unscrewing, and time-consuming procedures for searching and replacing blown fuses in critical moments
- It has protection against reverse polarity connection of the main accumulator
- It has short-circuit protection for the connecting terminals of the emergency accumulator
- It does not create noise or interference with other devices.
- It is small and aesthetically pleasing in appearance with flexible placement and mounting options at various angles (desktop, wall, or ceiling). This allows it to be installed in various locations, making its indicators visible from the vessel's navigation area, as required by regulations
