• Recharges a fully discharged 12V-70Ah emergency backup battery with approximately 60 Ah in 10 hours, initially providing it with an average current of 7A. Charging then continues with gradually decreasing current until its full charge is achieved
• It has a visual indication when operating
• It has a gauge for indicating voltage as well as a gauge for indicating the charging intensity of the emergency backup battery
• It has clear visual indications with LED for what is happening with the main battery of the vessel's electrical system as well as the emergency backup battery
• It has an audible alarm that operates together with the LED alarm indications, but if necessary, the audible alarm is recalled by pressing the dedicated button
• All alarms stop automatically when the causes that provoked them are eliminated and return if a real alarm cause occurs again
• It has automatic fuses that restart functioning with a simple movement of their lever. Spare fuses, unscrewing, and time-consuming procedures for searching and replacing blown fuses are not needed during critical moments
• It has protection against reverse connection of the polarity of the main battery as well as the backup one
• It has protection against short-circuiting of the connection terminals of the backup battery and the VHF connection terminals
• It does not create interference and disturbances in other devices
• It is small and aesthetically pleasing in appearance with flexibility for placement and support at various angles—tabletop, wall, or ceiling. Thus, it can be placed in various spots and its indications can be visible from the vessel's navigation point, as required by regulations
